Training - Mountain Checkride

Once a pilot obtains their Private Pilot Licence, what next? A mountain checkride is one of the best ways to take advantage of all that flying has to offer. From Vancouver, you can see the mountains – why not get up close and personal with all the beauty British Columbia has to offer.

The mountain program involves a 2.5 hour groundschool, a simulator session working on advanced maneuvers and navigation and a 1.5 hour flight.

You’ll be exposed to considerations such density altitude, mountain waves, flying in and out of valleys, and takeoff and landing considerations.

This is a must for anyone contemplating flying beyond the confines of the Lower Mainland! And it’s fun too!!
